Stone St. Mary’s was pleased to receive a positive OFSTED inspection in March 2025.
The outcome highlights the quality of Stone St. Mary’s C of E Primary School’s offering:

- Behaviour is calm and pupils feel safe.
- Children support one another, celebrate successes and show strong respect and inclusivity.
- Pupils contribute actively to the community—fundraising, singing in churches, and visiting care homes to knit and crochet with residents.
- The curriculum is ambitious and well‑sequenced, helping pupils build knowledge over time.
- Teachers usually check understanding well and address misconceptions effectively.
- Reading is a strength: pupils access diverse texts, early readers have books matched to phonics, and those falling behind are supported quickly.
- SEND pupils receive timely identification and personalised support.
